B flat (   )

B

B Flat

The note in between A and B; higher than A, but lower than B.

This is a proper flat sign        but we normally type it as a small case b: Bb

There are 2 ways of fingering it:

- or -

Try both.
You can choose the one that feels most comfortable for you.

When there's one flat in the key signature, on the B line, this turns all the Bs into B flats:

When there isn't a flat in the key signature, we write B flats by putting the flat sign before the note:

A flat or sharp sign before a note lasts for the rest of the bar, so this is a Bb too.
