Twinkle in C

(Twinkle Twinkle Little Star)

This version of 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' uses only notes from the C major scale.

We say it's 'in the key of  C major' or 'in C' for short.

We can tell what key a piece is in by looking at the key signature - this one has no sharps or flats.

Most pieces also end on their key note - C in this case.

It's got three 2-bar phrases - we'll call them A, B and C. Look how they repeat.

When you can play them, you can play the whole piece!
